Summary and Scope

Bridgeway Dynamics LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support network infrastructure across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficiency of network systems by planning, developing, and optimizing network hardware, software, and communication links. This position requires a balance of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and collaboration across IT and operational teams to ensure seamless connectivity and system reliability.

Essential Functions

Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Monitor network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
Design and implement secure LAN, WAN, and VPN solutions.
Maintain and update documentation for network configurations, topologies, and procedures.
Work with vendors and service providers to resolve issues and support infrastructure upgrades.
Ensure compliance with network security standards and company policies.
Provide Tier 2/3 support for network issues and collaborate with help desk and systems teams.
Participate in on-call rotation or emergency response as required.

Skills and Specifications

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and subnetting.
Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, or similar enterprise-grade networking equipment.
Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and SD-WAN technologies.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of hands-on network engineering experience.
Relevant certifications preferred (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or higher).
Experience supporting enterprise, defense, or multi-site environments a plus.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle or feel equipment. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to focus.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office or data center environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and servers. Some remote or hybrid flexibility may be available depending on project needs.
